Below are additional resources offered by others to the OCD community and often co-occuring disorders. Please feel free to visit their sites and support them and their efforts:

The International OCD Foundation – IOCDF.org

The mission of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) is to help those affected by obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and related disorders to live full and productive lives. Our aim is to increase access to effective treatment through research and training, foster a hopeful and supportive community for those affected by OCD and the professionals who treat them, and fight stigma surrounding mental health issues.

The Foundation has grown into an international membership-based organization serving a broad community of individuals with OCD and related disorders, their family members and loved ones, and mental health professionals and researchers around the world. We have affiliates in 25 states and territories in the US, in addition to global partnerships with other OCD organizations and mental health non-profits around the world.

The Foundation aims to improve outcomes for individuals with OCD and related disorders by:

  • Providing resources and support for those affected by OCD, including individuals with OCD and related disorders, their family members, friends, and loved ones.
  • Promoting awareness about OCD and related disorders to the OCD community and the general public.
  • Increasing access to effective treatment through:
    • Educating mental health professionals about evidence-based treatments.
    • Providing a forum for professional collaboration and networking.
    • Supporting research into the causes of and treatments for OCD and related disorders.

The TLC Foundation for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs)

The TLC Foundation for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors takes a comprehensive approach to helping people manage their body-focused repetitive behaviors.

We support the BFRB community in four significant ways:

  1. We provide ongoing health education and outreach programming for individuals and their families, helping lessen isolation by providing a community of support.
  2. We refer people to therapeutic and medical  treatment providers, services, and educational resources so that they can take better control of their recovery.
  3. We train mental health professionals to provide latest evidence-based therapeutic treatment approaches.
  4. We design and fund research projects aimed at understanding the neurobiology of these disorders and identifying pharmacological and behavioral treatments, as well as possibilities for prevention.
